Car crashes through Alexandria garage, knocks out power

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - A car crashed through the garage door of an Alexandria, Va. home Sunday afternoon, hitting a ground transformer along the way.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. at a house on Devereaux Circle. There's no word of any injuries.

Dominion Power says about 147 customers were without power as a result of the accident. According to Dominion's website, those customers can expect to have service restored by 1 a.m.
