Broken water main adds to icy conditions in Fairfax County

ANNANDALE, Va. - Water gushed from a main break in Fairfax County early Tuesday morning adding to the icy mess already present on area streets.

The water main break was reported around 6 a.m. near the intersection of Annandale Road and Statecrest Drive.

Annandale Road was closed in both directions while crews worked to shut off the water and repair the damage to the roadway.
