Armed carjacking in Silver Spring; police arrest suspect

SILVER SPRING, Md. - Police have arrested a man they say carjacked a motorist at gunpoint Wednesday morning in Silver Spring.

The armed carjacking happened around 6:30 a.m. on the 3000 block of Briggs Chaney Road.

Anthony E. Shade, 41, stole a blue Chevy Cobalt and sped away.

The victim of the carjacking was not injured.
