Ambulance with patient inside involved in accident on way to hospital
FALLS CHURCH, Va. - An ambulance with a patient inside was involved in an accident Wednesday morning while on the way to the hospital.
The accident happened around 6 a.m. on Gallows Road in Falls Church just outside of the Inova Fairfax Hospital. Images from the scene show that the ambulance struck a pole.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident and the patient was able to make it the hospital.
Several lanes of Gallows Road were closed following the accident.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
