4 students arrested for vandalizing Prince William County high school football field, police say

Investigators say four students have been arrested and charged for vandalizing a Prince William County high school football field.

Officers say 18-year-old Ramon Eduardo Romero Serpas, 18-year-old Bryant Keith Schaible, 18-year-old Jordan Ryan Pumphrey, and 19-year-old Jared Nicholas Yusko turned themselves on Monday. Yusko was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony. Romero Serpas, Schaible, and Pumphrey also face conspiracy to commit a felony charges in addition to charges of destruction of property.

Authorities say the students went to the football field at Battlefield High School in Haymarket late at night on May 28 and spray-painted lewd drawings on the field, track and bleachers. Police say animal parts, believed to be roadkill or possibly a raccoon, were found dismembered and thrown around the athletic field.

The vandalism caused several thousands of dollars in damage. Police say they received a tip leading them to investigate the students.

All four were being held on $2000 bond. A court date is scheduled for August 21.
