16-year-old wanted in connection with shooting at Arundel Mills Mall taken into custody, police say
HANOVER, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Police in Anne Arundel County say they have taken 16-year-old Jamari Marquese Hammond into custody in connection with a weekend shooting at Arundel Mills Mall.
Authorities believe Hammond was the gunman responsible for the shooting that left a man injured.
Officers say the incident happened around 7:45 p.m. Saturday during an altercation between two groups at the mall. After the shooting was reported the victim, police say, walked into a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower torso. He was listed in stable condition.
Officials say Hammond was wanted for attempted murder and will be charged as an adult.
