Mild temperatures in the 70s Monday with isolated showers possible later in the afternoon

After a great weekend, the cooler temperatures and low humidity will continue to roll right into the early workweek.

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says highs Monday will be in the mid-to-upper 70s for most of our area with a high of around 79 degrees forecast for D.C. Temperatures will be below seasonal for this time of year.

We'll see more clouds this afternoon compared to the weekend but there will still be periods when the sun will break through. A passing shower or patchy area of drizzle can't be ruled out Monday – but nothing too serious is in store. Mike says he just can't rule out the possibility couple of raindrops for a few of us. The best chances for this will be south of the Potomac.

We can expect similar weather for Tuesday and we'll heat things up the second half of the workweek as upper 80s return.
