Georgetown soccer hosts 'Dad Bod Day'
WASHINGTON - If you're not one of those guys who spent all summer working on your beach body--well, it's Georgetown University to the rescue. Georgetown's men's soccer team is hosting its first-ever "Dad Bod Day" on Labor Day.
Dad Bod Day is not a day to celebrate your soft midsection. Actually, it's the opposite. It's a chance to get sweaty and take the first steps toward getting healthy. All dads get in free to Monday's game vs. UCLA at 1 p.m., and before the game, there will be calisthenics on the field. There's also a dad bod dance-off planned at halftime, and some other fun contests for dads only. BONUS: Dads who show up with a flip phone, or wearing their phone on their hip get a special gift!
It's not the first time Georgetown has hosted a health-conscious promotion. You might remember that earlier this year, they hosted "Hail to Kale Night" at the Georgetown women's basketball game vs. Xavier.
