Did Philadelphia Eagles deliberately avoid using Redskins nickname in media guide?
WASHINGTON - More controversy surrounds the Washington Redskins football team this week as the team prepares to host the Philadelphia Eagles.
Images of this week's media guide for the game at FedEx Field show that the team's nicknames are left out and that the city names are used in their place.
Some say the Eagles deliberately avoided using the Redskins nickname because in the season's previous media guides, 'Eagles vs. Falcons' and 'Eagles vs. Jets,' were used.
This week's guide simply reads, 'Philadelphia vs. Washington.'
