World War II memorial vandalized with graffiti

The North Dakota monument of Washington, D.C.'s World War II memorial was vandalized with graffiti on Monday morning, according to the National Park Service.

The vandalism is believed to have taken place sometime before 10 am on Monday.

The National Park Service said Tuesday that they were able to remove a significant portion of the damage had been removed. They're continuing to treat the markings until they are no longer detectable.
