'Wonder Woman' star Gal Gadot pays visit to Inova Children's Hospital dressed as comic book heroine

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has been in the DMV shooting the sequel to the film inspired by the beloved comic book character.

"Wonder Woman 1984" is being directed again by Patty Jenkins and as the film title suggests, takes place in the 80s.

The crew has been shooting in Georgetown as well as Landmark Mall in Alexandria. Retro cars have been spotted in the mall parking lot, and the storefront of once-popular clothing and accessory store "Commander Salamander" was brought back for the shoot in Georgetown.

Gadot, in true Wonder Woman fashion, continues to use her powers for good -- and paid a visit to the Inova Children's Hospital in Annandale.

Tweets by Inova Children's Dr. Lucas Collazo and Dr. Patty Seo-Mayer have now gone viral, showing the action film star posing in full Wonder Woman garb with doctors and nurses.

Dr. Collazo, a heart surgeon at Invoa Children's wrote in a tweet, "Thank you ⁦@GalGadot⁩ for visiting us ⁦@InovaHealth⁩ Children's Hospital. You are a true Wonder Woman. The kids loved it...and so did the staff 😉 #wonderwoman84"

"Dear @ GalGadot- Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my patients and colleagues at # InovaChildrensHospital! Next time, can you align your visit with my call schedule? Love, # SuperFan," said Nephrologist Dr. Patty Seo-Mayer.

Director Patty Jenkins attended McLean High School in northern Virginia during her senior year.
