Woman shot on Metrobus in DC, suspect arrested

According to authorities, it began as a verbal confrontation between two males around 3:35 p.m. in the 2200 block of Good Hope Road in Southeast.

The fight escalated and the female victim, a bystander, was shot in the leg. Her injuries are non-life-threatening . The males, who suffered cuts, were taken to the hospital.

Wade Patterson, 23, of Northeast Washington, was arrested and faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
