Woman in twerking incident appears in court
WASHINGTON - Ayanna Knight, one of the women accused of repeatedly groping a man against his will at a Shell gas station last month, appeared in court today.
According to the charging documents, Knight and Marjorie Charles followed the man, who has asked not to be named, around the gas station store and then outside while he filled his car. He asked the attendant to call 911, but he refused.
Knight waived her right to a hearing on the evidence against her. She then lashed out at the judge and began crying upon learning that she would not be released.
Online court records show Knight has been arrested in Nevada for solicitation as well as petit larceny and trespassing.
Since arriving in Washington, Knight has been arrested twice for soliciting sex.
