Woman, 2 teens killed in early-morning Maryland house fire

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland mother, her 17-year-old son, and their neighbor have died after being pulled from a burning home.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department says they pulled 39-year-old Lettitia Sinnah and her 17-year-old son, Sundima Sinnah, from the Brooklyn Park home around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday. They also pulled out their neighbor, 45-year-old Christopher Rickman. All three were pronounced dead after being taken to hospitals in critical condition.

Capt. Russ Davies says Lettitia Sinnah died trying to save her son, and that Rickman died trying to save them both.

Davies said the woman's husband and 20-year-old son survived the fire.

He says Lettitia Sinnah had initially made it out but went back in to save Sundima, who was on the second floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
