Witnesses say Hagerstown apartment fire started by lightning strike

A fire broke out at a Hagerstown apartment building Tuesday evening.

Maryland State Fire officials responded to the Woodbridge Apartments at 11565 Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown, Maryland at around 8 p.m.

Witnesses say there was lightning in the area and heard what sounded like a lightning strike.

Fire crews say the fire started in the roof, and there was fire coming from the roof when they arrived.

There are no sprinklers in the building. There are no reported injuries so far.
