VIDEO: 2 masked suspects rob DC restaurant at gunpoint

Police are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery at a Mexican restaurant in Northwest D.C. last week.

Police say the robbery happened Friday inside the El Don Restaurant in the 4400 block of 14th Street.

According to police report, the masked suspects entered the restaurant at around 11:31 p.m. with four employees and two customers inside. One of the suspects was armed with a black handgun and pointed the weapon at the owner of the restaurant while saying, "Give me everything you got."

The victims complied with the suspects' demands for money as the owner got behind the cash register while his wife ran to the back to call 911.

However, the suspects were able to get away with $800 from the cash register and $300 from one of the customers before fleeing the scene.

D.C. police have released surveillance video from inside the restaurant that captured the armed robbery taking place.
