UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Gaithersburg shooting

GAITHERSBURG, Md. - A man was found shot to death inside a home in Gaithersburg on Monday evening, according to police.

The victim has been identified as Ronald Michael Lone III, 23.

Lone was found dead on the back deck of the home in the 7900 block of Muncaster Mill Road. Emergency responders were called around 9:58 p.m. on Monday, according to officials.

A preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects, dressed in dark clothing and with their faces concealed, entered the home through the unlocked rear door and at some point shot Lone. At the time of the home invasion there were other people in the home but no others were injured. Both of the suspects fled from the home, according to officials.

This homicide investigation is continuing and detectives urge anyone who may have information to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
