Unidentified human remains discovered during search for missing Prince William County teen
NOKESVILLE, Va. - Detectives investigating a case involving a missing teenager from Prince William County have discovered unidentified human remains in a wooded area in Nokesville, police said.
According to Prince William County police, the remains were found in the 14800 block of Glenkirk Road at around 3 p.m. Tuesday as detectives and the FBI were surveying the area investigating the disappearance of 16-year-old Palmer Marsh.
Officials said they are unable to confirm the identity of the human remains at this time. They have been transported to the medical examiner's office in Manassas for further analysis.
There is no known threat to the public, according to police.
Marsh has been missing since May 2 after leaving his home on Burwell Road following a disagreement with a parent. He was reported missing by family members two days later.
The 16-year-old is described as a Hispanic male standing 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on his forehead.
