Tuesday sunshine with warm temps near 80 degrees; rain, thunderstorms possible later this week

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - More sunshine coming your way Tuesday with dry skies and warm temperatures! FOX 5's Mike Thomas says we can expect a sunny and bright day with highs reaching 80 degrees in some areas. No rain in the forecast.

Expect a cooler Wednesday with a few afternoon showers -- but not a washout, Mike says. Thursday temperatures expected in the upper-70s and a dry Friday morning with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Mother's Day looks cooler with rain showers likely.
