What they're saying:

In a post on his Truth Social platform, "THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT’S TRUMP GOLD CARD IS HERE TODAY! A direct path to Citizenship for all qualified and vetted people," Trump said.

"SO EXCITING! Our Great American Companies can finally keep their invaluable Talent. Live Site opens in 30 minutes!" he added, including the link to apply for the card on trumpcard.gov.

What is the Trump Gold Card?

Dig deeper:

The Trump Gold Card is a visa based on a person’s ability to provide a substantial benefit to the United States. To apply, an applicant must pay a nonrefundable, $15,000 DHS processing fee, according to Trumpcard.gov.

Once the applicant’s processing fee is received, the process for petition approval and visa adjudication will take place on an expedited basis, assuming applicants submit any additional documents or fees in a timely manner.

The website explains that a $1 million gift upon completion of the person’s vetting process is evidence that the individual will "substantially benefit the United States." Applicants may also need to pay additional fees to the U.S. Department of State depending on their circumstances.

How can people apply for the Trump Gold Card?

What you can do:

According to Trumcard.gov, applicants should submit their online Trump Gold Card applications and initial processing fees through this website. The Department of Homeland Security will then begin the applicant’s vetting process.

When the vetting is completed successfully, applicants will be asked to submit a gift to the United States to "demonstrate their ability to provide a substantial benefit to the United States." Following the approval of an EB-1 or EB-2 visa, an applicant can obtain legal status as a permanent resident in the U.S.

Meanwhile, applicants should look for additional instructions from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services once they submit their online Gold Card applications. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will mail instructions to applicants to create an account at myUSCIS.gov account. USCIS and the Department of State also could require more information to be submitted as needed.
