Triple shooting leaves 2 teenagers dead, 1 other injured in DC

Police are investigating a triple shooting that left two people dead Monday night in Southeast D.C. 

The call reporting the shooting came in just after 8:30 p.m

Upon responding to the scene on the 1300 block of Congress Street, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department found three victims in various conditions — including one man who was unconscious and not breathing. 

D.C. police said that victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two people were transported to a nearby hospital. A second victim was pronounced dead and a third was receiving treatment for their injuries.

The deceased victims have been identified as Reginald Cooper, 19, and Devonte Berkley, 19.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000, for each homicide, bringing the total reward amount up to $50,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this offense.
