Tracking fugitives with the MCSO bloodhounds

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office bloodhounds are used to track missing persons and those who run from the law.

Millie is a bloodhound with the MCSO, her nose is put to a variety of uses and it's amazing.

"It's pretty close to 10,000 times as strong as the average human, they are sniffing with their nose, and ears, and saliva, and it keeps them on the scent trail," said Millie's handler Deputy Mike Kikes.

FOX 10's Troy Hayden put their skills to the test as he tried to outrun and hide from the dogs in this report.
