Thunderstorms bring heavy rainfall through DC area

A warm front is producing thunderstorms that are passing through the D.C. region Thursday afternoon. Heavy rainfall has caused flooding concerns and storm damage in our area.

Weather Updates:

6:21 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 7 p.m. for St. Mary's and Calvert counties.

5:53 p.m.

A Flash Flood Warning issued for the District of Columbia, Arlington County and Falls Church has been canceled.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 6:15 p.m. for Charles, Prince George's, St. Mary's and Calvert counties in Maryland.

5:43 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Anne Arundel and Calvert counties until 6 p.m.

4:58 p.m.

4:48 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued until 5:30 p.m. for Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun counties along with the cities of Manassas, Manassas Park, Fairfax and Falls Church.
