Third annual Arlington County Police, Fire and Sheriff block party on Saturday

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Arlington Police, Fire and Sheriff Block Party provides an opportunity for residents to get to know the women and men who serve them.

Residents gathered at Kenmore Middle School on S. Carlin Springs Road on Saturday to learn from interactive stations, enjoy food and take part in safety demonstrations.

Saturday's block party marked the third year it was held in Arlington.

The event was a family affair, with children and their parents alike learning more about how Arlington public safety officials keep their community safe and secure.
