Teenage boy struck and killed in Fairfax County hit-and-run, police looking for suspected car

Fairfax County police say they're asking for help in locating a car suspected for striking and killing a 16-year-old pedestrian in a hit-and-run incident in Reston.

Officials say the teen was pronounced dead at the scene. Fairfax County police crash reconstruction detectives are investigating after they say a 16-year-old boy was struck at Eastbound South Lakes Drive at Castle Rock Square.

Officials say they're looking for a small sedan, that may possibly be gray or silver, with significant front-end damage.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area. Eastbound South Lakes Drive at Castle Rock Square is still closed.
