Teen girl recovering after shooting in SE DC

A teenaged girl is recovering after being shot overnight in the District.

Officers at the scene say the girl was shot in the shoulder around 2:15 a.m. on 13th Street in the southeast.

A vehicle accident is connected to the shooting, and a bullet hole is visible in one of the vehicles.

Officers say the victim went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they have a vague description of the suspect.
