Suspect in custody after Northwest DC ‘barricade situation’
WASHINGTON - A suspect is in custody after he allegedly threatened someone with a gun inside a residence in Northwest D.C. Wednesday morning, prompting a large police presence to respond to the scene.
Police initially indicated that a reported burglary brought them to the home in the 5300 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest around 4:06 a.m.
During an update Wednesday morning, they said about 10 people were attending an after-hours party when a fight broke out.
During the fight, one person drew a gun, and another attendee called the police.
The suspect has not been identified, nor have police said what charges he might face.
