Suspect charged in shooting that left ‘innocent bystander' in critical condition
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A suspect is in custody in connection with a shooting on Kennedy Street Northwest in the District that left an "innocent bystander" in critical condition on Tuesday.
Alexander Morse - a former FOX 5 intern who works for Voice of America - is still hospitalized in the wake of the shooting.
William D'Sean Wrice, 20, of Northeast is charged with assault with intent to kill offense.
D.C. police chief Peter Newsham said on Tuesday that officers were called at around 12:20 p.m. to 1st and Kennedy Streets, Northwest for reports of a shooting.
Newsham said investigators believe the shooting occurred after two groups of people got into an argument.
A GoFundMe page has already raised more than $30,000 for Morse's hospital bills.
