WASHINGTON - A refreshing air mass arrived overnight and will chase the record-breaking 90s we had on Monday out of the area.
Tuesday will be about 10 to 12 degrees cooler than Monday with high temperatures topping out between 77 and 82 degrees.
The warm temperatures combined with plenty of sun and breeze from the northwest should make for a terrific day.
We heat up again later this week and the weekend as summer warmth tries to hijack early fall.
