Student stabbed during fight at Prince George's Co. high school

Prince George's County police say a student was stabbed during a fight inside of an Upper Marlboro high school.

Officers say two male students were involved in a physical altercation at Frederick Douglass High School around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say one of the students pulled a pocket knife and stabbed the other.

One student shared cell phone video of the fight with FOX 5. It shows many students in the hallway watching the confrontation. You can hear people yelling and screaming in the video.

Police said the fight was not gang-related. Instead, it was the result of an earlier incident between the two students.

The victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police said. The suspect is in custody and police say the weapon has been recovered.
