String of ‘pack style' robberies reported overnight in DC

D.C. police are investigating five separate incidents of "pack"-style robberies where groups of people robbed individuals.

In the first case, around 10 to 15 black men robbed an individual around 10:05 p.m. along Cathedral and Connecticut Ave, Northwest. Out of the five robberies this is the only where were a gun was reported.

In the second case, 15 to 20 black men were reported in the robbery. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Monday evening in the 2700 block of 29 Street in Northwest.

In the third case, around 10:46 p.m. 15 to 20 black men, ages 15 to 17 years old, robbed an individual in the 3400 block of prospect Street in Northwest. Around 2:12 a.m. a fourth robbery occurred in the 3100 block of M Street, NW. 10 to 15 black men robber an individual.

Finally, D.C. police reported another robbery in the 4700 block of Wisconsin Ave, and this robbery involved only four black men wearing all black clothing.

All of these robberies are robberies of people not of establishments and fortunately, nobody was injured in any of these cases. Police say it is unclear at this time whether the robberies were related to each other or not.
