Spring temperatures Wednesday; summer-like temperatures through Memorial Day weekend

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Another beautiful spring day expected but summer-like temperatures are on the way! FOX 5's Mike Thomas says Wednesday will start chilly with temperatures warming up for a mild afternoon. Highs later today should be around 77 degrees with plenty of sunshine.

If you like the spring temperatures enjoy them Wednesday because warmer weather is heading our direction. Mike says the heat returns Thursday with highs around 88 degrees. Temperatures in the 80s are expected into the Memorial Day weekend with possible highs of 90 degrees on Sunday.

The heat also brings the threat of unsettled thunderstorms beginning Thursday and through the holiday weekend, Mike says. None of the days will be washouts but the treat of storms will be present.
