Son of slain officer receives teddy bears made from dad's uniform

A community mourning the loss of a police officer is doing its part to keep his memory alive.

St. Louis Officer Blake Snyder was killed in the line of duty October 6 after responding to a disturbance call in the early hours of the morning.

His wife, Elizabeth Snyder, posted a photo on Facebook Tuesday showing her son Malachi holding two teddy bears that had been made from her husband's police uniform.

The BackStoppers, an organization that provides financial assistance to families of slain police officers, is continuing to raise money for the Snyder family.
