Shooter fled on bicycle after opening fire on DC street: police

WASHINGTON - Authorities are searching for a gunman they said fled on a bicycle after opening fire on a northeast D.C. street.

The shooting was reported around 12:41 a.m. on Wednesday in the 2000 block of Benning Road.

Police describe the suspect as having long dreads, wearing all black clothing, and armed with a silver handgun.
