Several people injured after 3-vehicle crash in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, Md. - Seven people were treated for injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in Silver Spring Friday afternoon, officials say.

The accident happened at around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Glenallan Avenue nearby the Glenmont Metro Station.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer says one person had to be extricated from their vehicle. Seven people were evaluated at the scene with three of them taken to the hospital. One of the victims was transported in serious condition.
