Secret Service officer struck by vehicle near White House

WASHINGTON - A Secret Service officer on a bicycle was injured after being struck by a vehicle near the White House.

The incident happened near 17th Street and New York Avenue.

Authorities restricted access to roads around the area during the investigation. The officer was transported from the scene with what are believed to be minor injuries.
