Search continues for elderly brother and sister missing from Landover
LANDOVER, Md. - Police are asking for help in their search for a missing elderly brother and sister last seen in Prince George's County.
Prince George's County police say Rosa Lee Thomas, 72, and her brother, James Everett Ward, 76, were last seen by their family at around 2:30 p.m. Monday at Thomas' home in the 7200 block of Sheriff Road in Landover.
Police believe the two were riding in a burgundy Jeep Liberty with Maryland license plate number 638M085. The vehicle has a back spare tire as well as a sticker with her initials RLT on the back window.
Thomas suffers from Alzheimer's and has not taken her medication for the last two nights.
Thomas' vehicle was spotted by D.C. police tag readers at Georgia Avenue and Missouri Avenue on Monday at around 10:30 p.m.
While their family was tracing the area for hours in hopes of finding the siblings, Thomas made a stop at a 7-Eleven store on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast D.C. She was spotted on surveillance camera and asked a manager to call home, but her family was out searching for her and missed the call.
Thomas was wearing last seen wearing blue pants and a grey jacket.
