School bus involved in collision in Silver Spring

Four children have suffered injuries after a collision in Silver Spring involving a school bus, Montgomery County fire officials say.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Sligo Avenue.

Fire spokesperson Pete Piringer tweeted there were 50 passengers on the school bus. Four children were taken to the hospitals, but their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Lanes were being blocked off in the area Thursday evening for the emergency response, but the scene has since been cleared.
