Salvation Army red kettle drive kicks off in DMV
WASHINGTON - It's a sure sign of the holiday season! The sound of the Salvation Army red kettle bell ringers are back in the DMV.
Christmas is still about six weeks away but the annual holiday campaign kicked off on Monday.
The red kettles made their first appearance over 100 years ago and have become a staple of the Salvation Army's holiday fund drive.
