Remi the Dog Comes Home
PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - Remi, the injured pit bull whose recovery has inspired pet lovers throughout the region and beyond, was released from his veterinary clinic Wednesday afternoon.
The year-and-a-half-year-old was cared for at Keystone Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Havertown.
Russ Harper, the Justice Rescue officer who saved Remi after he was dumped on the side of the road after a life of dogfighting, will foster the dog for the time being, although he is still looking for a forever home.
The story, reported on by Fox 29's Dawn Timmeney, was later spread widely on social media.
A #RemiLove fundraising benefit was held last week to raise money for Remi's medical care and raised over $12,000.
