Recall of Nature's Promise Trail Mixes

Giant Food has removed Nature's Promise Trail Mixes from sale because of a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, following a recall by Woodstock Farms Manufacturing, Inc.

The recall includes:

- Nature's Promise Organic Campfire Trail Mix, 12 oz., with best by dates of 11/23/17 and 12/23/17, UPC: 68826706609

- Nature's Promise Cascade Trail Mix, 12 oz, with a best by date of 12/30/17, UPC: 68826706616

- Nature's Promise Cranberry Trail Mix, 12 oz., with a best by date of 11/18/17, UPC: 68826706612

Giant will fully refund customers who have purchased these products if they bring their receipts back to the store.

They have not yet received any reports of illness, but consumption of food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes can cause listerioses, a rare but potentially fatal disease.

Healthy people are at low risk, but symptoms include fever, neck stiffness, and nausea. More serious side effects include miscarriage and infection.

Infants, the elderly, and people with HIV or undergoing chemotherapy are at a higher risk.
