Prince George's County homicide investigation launched after man found dead on Capitol Heights road

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Authorities in Prince George's County are investigating after a man's body was found on a road Wednesday morning.

The Prince George's County Police Department said an officer was alerted to an unresponsive man in the roadway in the 5900 block of Baltic Street in Capitol Heights at about 8:15 a.m.

Officials said the man, who had trauma to the upper body, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities confirmed their investigation into the man's death was being treated as a homicide.
