Power outage temporarily shuts down entrance at Dupont Circle Metro station

WASHINGTON - A power outage at the Dupont Circle Metro station temporarily shut down one of the entrances at the station Tuesday evening.

Metro said the 20th Street entrance was closed due to a Pepco power problem, which affected escalators and elevators inside the station. The 19th Street entrance remained open throughout the power outage.

The power was eventually restored and there was no impact to rail service, according to Metro.

Shuttle bus service was requested from Farragut North.
