Power restored at BWI Airport after major morning outage

WASHINGTON - The power has been fully restored at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport following a Monday morning outage that caused significant disruptions to airport operations.

The issues were completely fixed around 11:15 a.m., according to airport spokesperson Jonathan O. Dean.
Airport staff worked throughout the morning to restore power and continue assisting passengers by distributing water in the terminal. Dean expressed appreciation for customers' patience during the restoration process and apologized for the inconvenience caused.
TSA security checkpoints are now open and operational, and airline flights are resuming.
Although flights are departing and arriving, officials said it will take some time for airlines to fully resume their regular schedules.
