Police searching for Rockville indecent exposure suspect

Police are searching for a suspect who has been exposing himself in Rockville.

Montgomery County police and Rockville City police said the suspect has been involved in two indecent exposure incidents occurring in the 100 and 800 block of New Mark Esplanade in Rockville.

Police said the first incident happened last year on Sept. 21 between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. when the suspect followed a woman on a sidewalk and exposed himself. The other happened as recent as May 26 between 4:45 p.m. and 5:13 p.m. as the suspect sat on a lakeside wall and exposed himself while watching a group of young girls.

According to investigators, the suspect has also been reportedly seen loitering and sitting on a curb with his hands in his pants each day during the afternoon on March 30, 31, and April 1 in the 9000 block of Shady Grove Court in Derwood.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-20s. In each incident, he has been seen wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts. In the loitering incidents in Derwood, he was also seen carrying a grey drawstring backpack.
