Police search for owner who abandoned pit bull puppy in parking lot

BURTONSVILLE, Md. - Police are searching for the owner of an abandoned pit bull puppy who left the dog, near death, in a Montgomery County parking lot.

Officers say the owner left the puppy in a parking lot on the 4200 block of Tazewell Terrace in Burtonsville, Md.

The dog was found underweight and experiencing seizures. Authorities say malnutrition was to blame.

Montgomery County Animal Services nursed the puppy back to health.

The puppy, named Clark Kent, is in a foster home and will later be made available for adoption.
