Police search for missing 21-year-old University of Maryland student

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland Police Department is asking for help in their search for a student who has gone missing.

21-year-old Kaitlyn George was last seen on campus at Allegany Hall on Thursday at 4 p.m. by her roommates. Campus officials also released a photo of Kaitlyn leaving the dorm building around 4:42 p.m.

George is 5'3'', 121 pounds, has hazel eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen in black leggings, a green long-sleeved jacket, and bright colored socks. She also had a black and white camping backpack and a green canvas bag with her.

Police say she was supposed to go on a camping trip with a friend Thursday night, but didn't show up. They say George's family has been notified of her disappearance.

At this time investigators do not suspect foul play.
