Police: Man tried to solicit sex from Fairfax County detective posing as 13-year-old girl
FAIRFAX COUNTY - An Illinois man is facing felony charges after he allegedly tried to solicit sex from a Fairfax County police detective posing as a 13-year-old girl.
Martin Bollhorst, 54, is awaiting extradition to Fairfax County, where he will face four counts of using a communications system to facilitate offenses involving children.
Investigators say Bollhorst tried several times to solicit sex from the person he thought was a child.
The investigation was a collaborative effort between law enforcement offices in Illinois and Virginia.
