Police: Man assaulted, set on fire by 5 suspects in Fairfax Co.

ANNANDALE, Va. - Fairfax County Police say they have detained two suspects and are searching for three more after they say a man was assaulted and burned in Annandale.

Investigators say it happened just after 2 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex at the 4500 block of Commons Drive in Annandale.

FOX 5's Evan Lambert reports that a charred backpack was among the items found by investigators at the scene.

A police source tells FOX 5 the victim is male. Police say the victim has burns to his upper body and was taken the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
