Police: Man arrested carrying stolen semi-automatic handgun on Ocean City's famous Boardwalk

A man was arrested on Ocean City's famous Boardwalk after police say he was found carrying a semi-automatic handgun.

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning when police were alerted to the man by a business owner in the downtown area.

Using security cameras, officers tracked the suspect to 7th Street and the Boardwalk where they responded and quickly arrested him.

The man, identified as 20-year-old Mohammad W. Imani, was found in possession of the weapon, police said. Imani did not threaten anyone with the handgun, however, it was said to be visible to passersby. Investigators say the weapon was stolen from the Spotsylvania County, Virginia area.

Imani faces multiple charges including possession of a stolen handgun and is being held on a $40,000 bond.
